I don't know if it's SS or not - I presume it is. If it is her, she's a reality tv show winner who's getting her career as a model/actress/singer off the ground, so a bit of press attention would be welcome to her? No need for Joaquin to be overly protective in this instance, maybe, if that's what he usually does. I don't know.
Maybe Joaquin doesn't want people to know that he's dating a reality tv show winner...?

If Joaquin is getting into his role for 'Inherent Vice' (which is set in 1970, I think) what music do you think Joaquin might be listening to to get into his character's mood?

I can't help but notice 2 things :
how sunny it looks in LA and how similar S and H look like. Sophie has even better legs than Heather ! I didn't think that was possible !
I personally have a but of disappointment because if I love Joaquin it's not because of his body . I love him for his personality , for his artistic identity and ethics , I like how mature he seems as an actor , etc . If I only was interested in image I would be in a Josh Holloway fan site for example .. So to me it is disappointing and somehow it doesn't make sense why he would choose a much younger model .. When ppl in his age range would have a lot more to share in an emotional and professional area .. So is Joaquin not the person I thought he was ? That is my question.

I wouldn't put it that drastically, Sami. I think maybe Joaquin's just dating Sophie casually. I know she's quite young, but they're both adults, after all, and if they're both happy and nobody's getting hurt, I don't think there's that much to worry about. Also, he's going to start filming soon, and he once said he doesn't have much contact with any girlfriends when he's filming, so maybe he's keeping this a casual thing? It might be that's the reason he's gone for another girl who looks pretty much like Heather. He might not be over her yet-I heard somewhere that Heather's dating someone new, as well. Anyway, if he's not over her, this could be some kind of-rebound thing? Maybe? Of course, I'm just speculating! Still, Low Life will be coming out in a couple of months-we'll see if he shows up at the premieres with anyone!

It is very sunny in Florida too
they do look alike but Joaquin always go for models very skinny but since she lives in england this is very casual.
I wonder if she stays with him, and how is he at home,

Maybe he is funny about pictures because what happen with River, was watching a show call last 24 on River and they played the call Joaquin made, so maybe that is his deal,

I'm sorry...these photos are not of Joaquin & SS. They're old photos from 2010 of Joaquin and Aria Crescendo. I posted them to show how similar his recent girlfriends are and to see if anyone could spot the difference. Just goes to show!
I don't know what's happening with 'Inherent Vice' but I do think Joaquin's latest look with the chops is for a role. I still think the recent candids of him are 'staged' too. I wonder if SS is getting to know Joaquin or Doc Sportillo?
If he does get serious with SS and makes more frequent trips to Britain, well, I'll keep an eye open for him in my local supermarket. Haha! It would be interesting to see what he puts in his basket. I doubt that will actually happen though.
Kitten, the film is due to start filming soon by all accounts.
btw, I've said on another forum (some time ago) that I didn't want to see Joaquin hitting 40 and still dating 20-somethings, and I still feel this way. The thing is, there is always going to be a 23 year old model/actress/singer he can date – he’s Joaquin Phoenix! – but he’s always going to be getting a year older too and sooner or later, if not now, it's going to look a bit seedy. I appreciate it's none of my business and I did actually vow never to look at candids of Joaquin in his 'private' moments before this, but if he dates a reality tv show star getting her career off the ground I think it kind of comes with the territory. Not that I have anything against SS - I actually think she's cute in an 'English Rose' kind of way.
OK, not saying any more. Tbh I'm kind of bored with it all now.

What Joaquin cannot do is make a big point of criticizing celebrity culture and Hollywood for its superficial values and then walk around barefoot with a top model 15 years younger than him . Hello ??? So he doesn't like celebrity culture and won't put up with it but all the benefits ( I.e. young hot women ) yes. ++++++ what about those superficial Hollywood values like image ??? Give me a break !! I can't take him seriously anymore . When he goes : " oh poor animals" oh now he's playing the sensitive card . Next moment he turns around he'll play the bad boy card , then the serious actor card.. Doesn't matter if it doesn't add up to him, apparently ..one thing shouldn't be related to another ... Yeah Right ! And to think all these years I believed him !! GRRR
