Joaquin Phoenix and the Oscars, Golden Globes, BAFTAs 2013

Well, yeah, we didn't have much time to talk about this because you know, we were making out all night long, but he did whisper in my ear.. Oh , stop it.. ,!  In 2001, BAFTA chief executive Amanda Berry spearheaded an initiative to move the ‘British Oscars’ ahead of the Academy Awards, cementing their place on the season’s roadshow. This year, a calendar of events highlights their increasing importance. The organization and its sponsors now conduct a suite of pre- and post-awards events, with several studios expected to throw big after-parties next Sunday night following the official ceremony at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Just tonight, Idris Elba deejayed at a pre-celebration of the EE BAFTA Rising Star prize at the Savoy, and I hear Harvey Weinstein will toast his nominees – who this year include Quentin Tarantino, Christoph Waltz and Joaquin Phoenix – with an intimate dinner in Mayfair on Friday.More: http://www.deadline.com/...head-of-awards-ceremony/

While he's in the UK, I know Joaquin wouldn't want the traditional fish and chips (well, maybe just chips?)...  Yum!  But maybe he'd go for the delicacy that is the deep-fried mars bar as an alternative to fish?  That's vegan friendly, right? and probably nutty too! If its true about Joaquin being single I'm happy in a way because I don't think Heather was right because she had a young child and responsibilities and joaquin seems like the casual type. I hope he finds someone :)

Joaquin deserves to win first prize. I have said it well before any of the award season started that his role as Freddie Quell is like nothing I've seen before and that to me it looks like the prizes are too small to match the level of his performance. I am not an actress and I don't know the craft but even the "capo"-Al Pacino- blessed him.
It really doesn't change much anyhow because the job is done anyway.. Joaquin just shows the health of the awards. If they give it to him they win credibility if not they loose.

Although I don’t live in a hovel, there is no competition because it’s not like I was part of a choice Joaquin had to make. Lol.  If it is true that Joaquin is single again, I don't think it's great news - I think it's sad news.

I have really mixed feelings about Joaquin being in London & at the BAFTAs but I still want to thank him for coming and wish him all the best for tonight's ceremony.

I'm so excited for tonight, Joaquin is near the front and in good sight so the camera's will hopefully get good shots of him. He seems to have combed his hair too. The weather is so bad here so even though I have heard where he is staying, I wouldn't go today. I've just slept in, heavy rain really isn't pleasant in London its like 4 degrees today

I'm not in London, and it's raining where I am too, Joaqfan. Chilly as well. Brr! If Joaquin does the red carpet, he'll need a brolly, wellies & an overcoat! I'm tired today because I worked a long day yesterday and then went to the cinema straight from work so it was late when I got home. Just chillin' on the sofa today.
