Looks an interesting project. Wondering when it will premiere. To be honest, a bit of a controversial thing-type of thing Joaquin likes, I guess! Still, looks like it will be an interesting documentary. Wonder when it will be released.

Hi justme,
Look like this Autumn, from the link:
"Production on the special will begin this spring, with broadcast set for fall 2013."

I think this is an interesting project. I've been the 'priest' at a few funerals.
The article says that Joaquin is 'executive producer' - what does that entail? Is it a financial role?

Hi Joy, not sure it's a real "executive producer" job or another fake credit. Joaquin was also credited as a producer on "We own the night", he explained at 2:00m in this video why that was not a real producer credit:

Thanks, Admin. So, what will Joaquin's role be? The article doesn't say other than 'executive producer'.

Hey Joy, what does this mean? Care to elaborate?

Not sure Joy, a lot of oversight i would have thought, making sure everything is running smoothly? Probably a lot of nervous smoking involved... Edited by user Wednesday, March 20, 2013 8:27:28 AM(UTC)

It means that I've been the person doing the burial ceremony; like a priest, vicar, whatever, does usually.

Sounds like a great responsibility Joy! Not an easy role i would imagine with all the emotions involved.
I'll probably just end up being put in the wheelie-bin... spare me a thought and a prayer to send me on my way!

Hi Joy,
I've just re-read the article? Doesn't seem to say that Joaquin will be an 'executive producer' on this project?

This is from the article, Admin:
Phoenix and Affleck, who previously collaborated on the headline-making 2010 film I’m Still Here, executive produce with Michale Muller through Strawhouse.

Each one has been different. Will do, Admin. Hopefully not for some time yet though.

Thanks Joy... so trying to decipher the article: "Phoenix and Affleck, who previously collaborated on the headline-making 2010 film I’m Still Here, executive produce with Michale Muller through Strawhouse. Jules Daly will produce and David Zucker and Mary Lisio of Scott Free will executive produce, with Lindsay and Martin also producing" It would seem: Joaquin Phoenix, Casy Affleck, Michale Muller, David Zucker and Masy Lisio are Executive producers. Jules Daly, Linsay and Martin are Producers. Doesn't seem right to me to have so many Executive producers (by definition) Oh well, i'm sure all will become clear in time. |

Yes, it does seem like a few too many execs there. Maybe they all have a different segment in the documentary to exec produce? I don't know. Sometimes, when reading the credits on some tv programmes they have several people all filling a similar role, looks the same with this one.
