I know this post should be in the 'not about Joaquin' section of the forum but that's only viewable by members who sign in and I thought our lurking friends around the world not party to Eurovision (and some who are) might like to know what's happening in, er, Europe .....Sweden. Saturday evening (May 18th). Can we leave it here until a few days after the event?
This is the British entry...
Spain's...
There might well be a madder song/performance in the contest, but Greece have pulled out all the stops....I like it. lol. It's Madness with a twist....
All the finalists...

I'm not planning on watching but there's bound to be politics, bloc-voting, back-scratching, country-snubbing, nose-rubbing and rib-tickling a-plenty if previous years are anything to go by.

I didn't watch it... but the UK got #19 place!?
... you wouldn't think the UK has produced as much great music over the decades as it has judging by how well they do in the Eurovision song contest every year.
I love the way Israel is in the Eurovision song contest too... who next Japan? |

Britain has won several times in the past but the competition isn't really about the song anymore, Admin.
I liked Spain's entry but they came 3rd from last. I'm going with the idea that since Spain is in deep trouble financially no-one voted for them out of sympathy - could they afford to host the competition if they'd won? - although that's probably not the actual reason they hardly got any points. I bet Greece were sweating because they came 6th and they're in deeper trouble than Spain.

Yeah, I didn't watch it either. But, yeah, I don't really judge music on who wins at Eurovision, due to all the complications involved! I didn't even know what place the countries came, Admin!

The Eurovision site has all the country placings plus who voted for who, justme...
http://www.eurovision.tv/page/history/by-year/contest?event=1773
The only 'country' which didn't vote for Denmark (the winners) was San Marino.
Britain gave its douze points to Denmark.
And here's the winning song...
