I really thought Joaquin & Scarlett were going to do a waltz there for a moment. That would have been amazing.
I love this photo! The effect the wind has had on Joaquin's tie, Scarlett's dress and Spike's jacket but seemingly not yet reached Rooney.

From the Hollywood reporter: Earlier in the day, Phoenix stole the show at the film's presser when he showed up in good spirits, wowing the packed auditorium with dry, irreverent jokes: When one journalist remarked that she thought the film "was the best film at the festival, by far," Phoenix quickly quipped that the questioner might not be objective. "She's my aunt," he said. And when the next question contradicted her by pointing out that the third day of a 10-day festival was too early to anoint a best film, Phoenix pointed to the second questioner and deadpanned, "But he's not related to me."

"Phoenix and Johansson do double lifts, and they are remarkable. Phoenix, in essence, does two performances at once. He has to have his own performance and also inform how Johansson’s voice will perform. After wearing the marks of a man beaten down by the world in The Master, Two Lovers, and his own performance art crash and burn I’m Still Here, it’d become taken for granted that Phoenix has so much joy. His goofiness and innate whimsy, like Jonze’s, is infectious. It’s a perfect marriage of director and actor. Phoenix, himself, might very well be taking the mantle of this generation’s best actor."

'Her' (2013) Movie ReviewA beautifully told new look at the language of love
Spike Jonze's Her is absolutely wonderful. It's a film that questions our very existence, who we are as people, what defines us and the complexity or lack thereof of human relationships and bonding. What's truly amazing, is how simple Jonze makes it look, there are thematic layers to Herthat could fill hours of discussion. One enlightened moment leads to another as the core pleasures we find in the company of others is stripped down to the very essence of humanity and what truly allows us to appreciate love and connect with someone else while also making a comment on our society on a whole.
