Interesting. I think he can pull it off. He has played a variety of different characters and even voiced a Disney film. I think its time he got his feet wet in something new, something thwt could even be fun. But then again, he did make a quote long ago that he didnt want to be screaming at a green screen pretending a giant dragon penis was about to eat him, so there's that. But I dont think there will be any penises whatsoever in this film, so he should be good to go.

It may be good that Joaquin's apprehensive about the role... going into a role with uncertainty normally brings out the best acting performance. Nothing worse an actor thinking that can do a role blindfolded. Go for it Joaquin, it'll all work out good!But do The Master, Her type roles too!and don't forget your PeTA campaigning and RPCP work alsoNo rest for the wicked!

Would be nice if he did. I mean look at what Marvel has done for Robert Downey Jr. and look at what making franchises has done for Johnny Depp and Keanu Reeves, if Joaquin took it, it could be the smartest decision he ever made. hugs xoxoox

I hope he does the film and I hope they do use pinewood studios as its closer to home for me to have a bimble down south :) I'm not a big super hero marvel fan I have to admit even Henry cavill can't sway me. I do love iron man though so fingers crossed

Glad you love Iron Man Sarah! Nice to see you posting btw, hope you post more. I can see why he was hesitant cos it is a franchise, and normally Joaquin doesn't seem to do those sort of things. as He was rumored for Batman also (would've loved to have seen him as a villain in that one) <---big Batman fan!! but he didn't. :( But I think if anyone could pull this Dr. Strangelove off it would be Joaquin!! Al Pacino could too, but he's a bit too how can say this nicely old for the role lol:!) xoxoox
