Wish ppl would just stop and think about the suffering these animals go through. Makes me cry to think that an animal loses its life for a sandwich or a roast, just disgusting.

Actually, everyone has their right to eat what they want. meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans included. All living things have feelings. esp plants if pull the plant out of the ground by the root, you're still killing it. every living things needs feelings in order to grow. hence the plants etc..
I think with proper treatment and diet even the meat eaters can be happy about being able to eat meat. Animals i believe were originally intended for us humans to live off of in ancient times. it's a choice now you dont have too. if you dont want too. i like both vegan food as well as being a meat eater.. :) i could go vegan if needed. can't afford too..
:)
Hugs

and i didn't say you were a hypocrite most people are hypocrites when it comes to vegetarian/vegan stuff. There are vegetarians that eat fish/chicken, that doesnt make you a vegetarian tho.
Good for you. you can afford that lifestyle. i can't. am on limited income.

What meat do you eat these days Mystaria? Doesn't meat cost more than veg almost all of the time?

No idea what quinoa is sarahlou? Are sweet potoatoes those orange colored ones? Give me a proper spud anyday The spud is the perfect vegetable, it's awesomeExcept you can't eat it raw... wonder what they did with spuds before fire? Spuds were probably just in the ground growing for thousands and thousands of years waiting for fire to be discovered so they could finally be eaten |

I read a similar article some time ago.
Personally, I don’t eat the meat substitute foods and I wouldn’t be interested in eating the kind of substitutes produced by the companies mentioned in the article you posted the link to. I have, on rare occasions, eaten soya and quorn sausages and burgers in the past, but when I became a vegetarian (a very long time ago) I wanted to get away from the idea that food had to look or taste like meat.
Bear in mind that this is my own personal preference and practice.
