Eh, don't know about that. Commodus is a bad guy, no doubt about it. He has no redemption arc in the end. He's driven by power-lust and jealousy throughout the film, and as a friend at work said, the character acts like a little b**ch. He's meant to be hated , even his own Praetorian guard turn on him. No disresoect towards Ridley Scott, but he misses the mark here.
