I'm not sure if Joaquin is in character or not in that photo Joy. In the book Doc smokes weed and roll-up cigarettes...
so it's probably just Joaquin taking a cigarette break.
I'm looking forward to hearing how Joaquin does Doc's voice... what style of mumble will it be?

I think you're right there, Admin. I bet Joaquin knows how to roll a mean spliff. Lol.
Does Joaquin mumble, then?

I don't think all the roles in IV have been announced yet and new cast members keep cropping up daily, so you never know, at this rate.
Found this freaky photo on Google images....

I love this set of pictures, not crazy about the ones with the gold pants and the curly hair, I will say Joaquin looks different from his other movies,

Unlike some of Joaquin's other characters, Doc's look isn't really swoonable, is it?
Haha. If 'swoonable' isn't a word, it is now.

A lot of people seem to think Joaquin's look as Doc Sportello is similar to that of musician Neil Young...
Pretty close! |

New photo of Joaquin as Doc Sportello:
Looking good bare-foot!
With a good 60s soundtrack, this film could be awesome! |

Yeah, Neil Young is the obvious similarity, but I'm sticking with Noddy.
I don't think we've ever had the privilege of seeing Joaquin's feet, have we?

I haven't had that tinned stuff since about 1973 and then I think it was a one off. The spotted part comes from the currants in it - don't know about the dick part. It had to be steamed in water rather than microwaved though because I don't think microwaves were around back then. We ate it with custard. Very sweet, as I recall, and it glued your teeth together.

Going through the song list. I think this one, by The Chantays, would be good. Only because I think the video is hilarious and it might get a few more views if the song was in the film...
This is a British guitar band from around the same time called The Shadows. Cool moves. lol.
The guy with the glasses is called Hank Marvin and his name is rhyming slang for starving. Eg: "I'm so Hank Marvin I could eat a Spotted Dick." Hey...this forum is educational too.

If they go for songs from bands like The Monkees, The Beach Boys and The Doors then i think that will be about right... i wonder if Johnny Greenwood will be involved in the music/sound production again? Doesn't seem like he will be needed? |

Can you see the menu Doc Sportello (Joaquin) is holding in the background?

If PTA uses songs mentioned in the book as the soundtrack, then no, it doesn't look like JG will be needed. Unless he also writes something original for the film too.
I love those 3 bands, so thumbs up from me if PTA goes with them.
I get the feeling that this film is a bit cartoonish. Is the novel comedic?

Is this photo photoshopped??
MR looks like she's having a quick look to see if anyone's watching before she cops a feel, considering where her right hand is. **
I wonder if Kitten will be...
Hehe.
** No disrespect intended. Just being silly.

Did you? I must have forgotten. I've never heard it called that before.

He's Joaquin's, er, technique-al advisor on the film.
